How long will it take to receive my order?

All orders will be shipped UPS within 48 hours after order confirmation. Please allow 5-7 business days for standard delivery.  You will receive an email confirmation with your tracking number after your order is shipped. Why should I buy a Kostea Cloud? 

Kostea Clouds help make a home or room more comfortable by increasing the humidity level in the air. Typically, in the colder months humidity levels drop as the colder air cannot hold as much moisture as the warmer air in the summer months. Kostea Clouds release a light mist or moisture into the air that help guard against problems caused by dry air in the home.

What is Ultrasonic?

Ultrasonic Kostea Clouds use a metal diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency to create water droplets that are expelled out into the room to help maintain the desired humidity level. An ultrasonic Kostea Cloud is virtually silent when operating.

Why are there tiny silver threads in my filter tubes?

These threads are made of micro-silver crystal technology. The silver has been embedded into the water tank as a fungi-static agent to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank. Silver’s antibacterial powers are being applied in a variety of household and textile products and applications.

Why is there white dust on my furniture?

If water is especially hard or has a high mineral content, you may notice white dust around the unit. White dust is not a problem. It is from the minerals in the water that form the dust. The Kostea Cloud evaporates the water and then the white dust is left in the unit, not sent out into the air. If bothersome, use distilled water for operation.

What is the recommended humidity level for my home?

A recommended level of humidity for your home is 40–55%.

What type of water should I use in my Kostea Cloud?

Distilled or regular tap water can be used in your Kostea Cloud. Some tap water is high in mineral content and will cause a mineral build-up, so distilled water is preferred.

Where should I place my Kostea Cloud?

It is recommended that you place your Kostea Cloud up and not on the floor. Placing the Kostea Cloud on a table or nightstand during operation is suggested. Do NOT place on carpet, towels, blankets or other uneven or absorbent surfaces.

What temperature water should I use in my Kostea Cloud?

Room temperature water should be used in your Kostea Cloud. Your Kostea Cloud maintain the necessary water temperature for humidification.

What if my tank starts to leak?

If your tank begins to leak, first check that it is on a flat level surface. Next, check that the tank lid is screwed on tightly in place. Also, check that the tank itself is securely and properly installed on the Kostea Cloud base.

If the unit is still leaking, please contact Customer Service for an immediate replacement.

Can the unit be on without a light on?

Yes, you can turn off the lights on the unit.

Does this unit have a timer?

Yes, this unit has a 12 hour timer that can be tailored to your preferences.  

What kind of charging cable is required?

Micro-USB Type C.  (Included).

What should I do before putting my Kostea Cloud in storage?

Prior to putting your Kostea Cloud away for the season, be sure to thoroughly clean the unit with antibacterial soap and water to prevent any mold, mildew, fungi or bacteria from growing within it while it is in storage.  Do not submerge the entire unit in water as this can damage the equipment.  Be sure to pour out any excess water and wipe down the surfaces with a cloth. Be sure to let the entire unit air dry completely (24-hours) before storing.

When should I replace my filter tubes?

It is recommended that you replace the filter tubes and atomizer diaphragm once every couple of months to prevent the buildup of limescale from clogging the misting operation.  Replacements can be ordered through customer service available 24/7 for your convenience. 

How much area does this Kostea Cloud cover?

This Kostea Cloud can cover areas up to 350 square feet.

How much water can the reservoir tank hold?

How often do I need to refill my reservoir tank?

You shouldn’t have to refill the tank more than once per day.  The tank will last approximately 40 hours on intermittent spray operation (20 hours on continuous spray operation).  

Is this unit portable?

Yes, it is equipped with a rechargeable 4000mAh battery that lasts up to 7 hours on intermittent operation (3.5 hours on continuous spray operation).

How long does the unit take to fully charge the battery?

Approximately 3.5 hours.

Can I add essential oils to the Kostea Cloud like I would a diffuser?

No, do not add any essential oils, perfumes, chemicals, or medical substances to the tank.  This can block the atomizer plate and cause the unit to malfunction.

What if I am not home to refill the unit right away?

The unit has a built in safety feature designed to turn off the sprayer immediately after the reservoir is empty to prevent damage to the unit.  

How do I maintain this unit for years to come?

It is recommended that you always empty the reservoir as soon as you turn the unit off.  It is always a good rule to not allow the still water to sit for more than 24 hours inside the reservoir of the unit.

It is also important to thoroughly clean the unit with antibacterial soap and water every couple of weeks.  This prevents the growth of mold, mildew, fungi, and bacteria from growing inside the unit when not in use.  These organisms thrive in standing water that is left inside your Kostea Cloud for more than a couple of days.  

Do not submerge your unit in water, as this can damage the equipment.  Please use a sponge and damp cloth to clean the unit.

It is also recommended you replace the internal filter tubes and atomizers every couple of months to prevent your unit from becoming clogged from lime scale buildup and sludge deposits which could interrupt normal misting operations.
